What does NEPA AA Intergroup Do?
CARRIES THE A.A. MESSAGE INTO FACILITIES
The Corrections Committee and Institutions Committee volunteer service members brings A.A. meetings into treatment centers, shelters, hospitals, and prisons throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The Corrections Committee supplies A.A. conference approved literature to prisons throughout the area.

NEPAIG hosts several annual events with support from the Activities Committee volunteer service members. Annual events include: H2H Dinner/Dance, Sober Stock and Halloween Custom Party/Dance.

HELPS ALCOHOLICS TRANSITION FROM INSTITUTIONS TO MEETINGS
The Bridging the Gap Committee connects alcoholics transitioning out of treatment centers and prisons with A.A. members who help them find their first A.A. meeting outside the facilities, whether they drive them there, or give them the address and information.

KEEPS THE NEPA A.A. ARCHIVES
The Archives Committee maintains NEPAIG and group members history at the NEPAIG Central Office.

MAINTAINS THE WEBSITE
The Website Committee designs, maintains, and updates the NEPAIG website. Committee communicates meeting updates, meeting cancellations, new meetings, events and website posts via text blast to participating A.A. members.

MANAGES THE AA CENTRAL OFFICE
The Central Office Committee sells Conference-approved literature and anniversary coins at the NEPAIG Central Office Store, 422 N Main St, Pittston, PA 18640. Store hours are every Saturday 10am – 2pm and 2nd Tuesday of the month 5pm – 6:30pm. On the Saturday before the second Tuesday of the month, the Committee also prints monthly meeting lists, newsletter, flyers and NEPAIG minutes for the NEPAIG General Membership IGR Meeting held the 2nd Tuesday of the month, Queen of the Apostles School Building, 715 Hawthorne St, Avoca, PA 18641 at 7pm.

PROVIDES PUBLIC INFORMATION
The Public Information Committee provides information about A.A. through our “Adopt-a-Spot” program. Pamphlet racks and books are placed in public libraries, doctors offices, schools, police stations, court houses and magistrate offices.

STAFFS THE A.A. HOTLINE/ HELP LINE
The Hotline Coordinator service member manages the A.A. hotline for NEPAIG. A.A. members volunteer service to answer phone calls daily 24/7, (570) 654-0488; (800)640-7545.

WRITES THE NEWSLETTER
The Newsletter Committee publishes the monthly newsletter and distributes to Northeastern Pennsylvania area members “The Messenger, Our Journey Through Recovery”. Members can share their experience, strength & hope by submitting stories, anniversary and events by contacting theaamessenger@gmail.com

- Take A.A. meetings in prisons and institutions through Corrections Committee or Institutions Committee
- Booker Meetings through the Unity Committee
- Help with annual NEPA Intergroup events through Activities Committee
- Answer the Hotline
- Be added to the 12 Step call list through Hotline Coordinator
- Get the information out to all of NEPA AA by joining the website committee.

New Meeting or Meeting Changes
Groups and Meetings are responsible for keeping the information current with NEPAIG. Once NEPAIG receives the completed form, we will gladly start the process of accomplishing that for you!
GSO New Group Form
If starting a new group and registering with GSO to receive a Group#, please fill out and follow directions on mailing the GSO New Group Form.
Public Information Request
If needing to fill public information pamphlets or books, please fill out NEPAIG Public Information Literature Request Form before coming to Intergroup store location. Also, the Public Information literature request form can be given to the Public Information Chairperson at the NEPAIG monthly meeting.
Group History
If needing to log group history at NEPAIG for the Archives Chairperson, please fill out NEPAIG Group History Form and return to Archives Chairperson.
